East Bay Women’s Network (EBWN) invites you to our outstanding monthly networking luncheon meeting: “The Art of Distilling and The Art of the Game” on Wednesday, April 4th, 11:15 to 1:30 at the Grandview Pavilion 300 Island Drive, Alameda.
Join us to talk about building buzz around unfamiliar products, the importance of mentoring, and how two women — Absinthia Vermut / Absinthia Absinthe and Carin Luna-Ostaseski / Sia Scotch — stuck out their necks in a male-dominated world…and are winning.
About the Speakers
Carin Luna-Ostaseski is the first American woman to found a scotch whisky company, Sia Scotch, which got its first funding via the most successful Kickstarter campaign in the category to date.
Fifteen years ago, Absinthia Vermut was bootlegging absinthe. She launched an eponymous absinthe — a liquor that was effectively banned in the United States until relatively recently.
EBWN hosts a delish lunch, networking time and highlights a local non profit. Twenty eight years of business women supporting one another. Join us “in the room!”
About East Bay Women’s Network
EBWN is a thriving networking organization for women in business that began in 1990. We hold monthly meetings and other events that are open to members, first and repeat guests. We provide the space for our members and guests to make connections with other dynamic, like-minded business women. Gentlemen are also welcome.
We motivate each other, inform, educate and have fun! With a diverse membership of 100+ women and men, you are certain to gain inspiration and learn something new each time.
Community Support Contribute to the Opportunity Drawing
At each monthly meeting, we hold an Opportunity Drawing, with all proceeds proudly going to support a nonprofit community service. How it Works — Members and guests are encouraged to to bring a product or offer of services, gift cards, books or other items to be displayed on the Opportunity Table. Value of your donation should be in $25 range. During the meeting, anyone can donate to receive an Opportunity Ticket. The more tickets you have the more likely to win! The drawing is at end of meeting.
It’s a great way to capture the attention of the audience and promote your services or products. You are free to use your imagination, and you will be making a lucky winner very happy! Thank you!
EBWN thrives as an organization only because of the participation of its members.
If you would like to get more involved with EBWN, please join fellow members who volunteer on the Board of Directors or one of the committees to help support the organization and women in business.
We hope you will want to share your interests and expertise by helping with events, marketing, or membership, or in other ways. Contact any board member to express your interest.
Online Registration closes at 6:00PM on Monday, April 2, 2018.
